I have a solid set up but entertainment is one main category I'm only getting 2% on. mostly looking to get 5% at sporting events, movie tickets, bowling, golf, aquariums, zoos. I also heard elan MCP isn't too strict with velocity. my last application was 1/17/26 but I'm still 3/6, 5/12, 6/24.

Yes. I keep mine set to Entertainment 5%, Recreation 5%, and Restaurants 2%.
Entertainment and Recreation are the two categories for which the Elan Max Cash card is broader than the US Bank Cash+ card.
Also, I figure that having both of those, and restaurants, all on that card helps to “catch” some transactions for which the merchant is improperly coded.
By pure percentages yes, though it’s capped while the Wells Fargo Attune does unlimited 4% so it can be situationally better. Also slightly different definitions of the category between Wells Fargo, US Bank, and Capital One.
Zoos can be hit and miss on merchant coding (MCC 7998). Sometimes cities use the disallowed Government Services MCC
But yeah MCP works. BofA CCR travel category (Or online category) includes zoos aquariums and amusement parks
