Recently I’ve discovered that I want to be an insurance fraud investigator and/or an insurance recovery specialist. I’ve always been stuck on what I want to be or what I want to do in college but recently I randomly caught interest in insurance and then absolutely loved it. But I’m unsure what I’m supposed to do leading up to the days I get to pursue this and I’ve also seen people say there isn’t a way in school or college to get taught on how to be in any of these fields can someone help

    1. in order t go that route you need to start in claims, handle various types of claims in a soul sucking job for many moons and then once you have the experience jobs like you want are available to you.

    2. Subrogation/recovery can be a trainee position, or you can move into it after minimal claims experience.

SIU is a little tougher. Generally people with law enforcement background or probably close to 5 years of complex claims handling are who fill those roles.

Start as a trainee adjuster, be good at it, and you’ll be able to choose your path.
