Hi. I would appreciate any advice as my advisor at my school isn't very helpful and I'm a little lost.
To sum it up, I'm an undergrad finished my first semester, 2 weeks into my second semester, online student. My second disbursement for my loans came in early, and apparently they messed up and refunded the loans back to FAFSA and sent me the disbursement at the same time, and screwed it up so bad, at first told be to return the check then told me to keep the check, but I would owe for part of my last class of this semester.
I am telling you it's so messed up that just reading the accounting gives you a headache.
The amount of tuition I would owe for the last class is about$1300 and I have a scholarship that will pay me around$1500 at the end of that class so b technically id owe only that much for the duration of the class.
But anytime I call or ask questions my advisor seems irritated to be at work having to answer questions and does not explain anything where it's understandable.
All this had me looking at the tuition and amounts of my debt I'm incurring and I've decided to switch schools for the 2026 year.
The classes start at the new school a couple weeks before the last class at the old school ends so I'm thinking why don't I just drop that last class at the old school.
If I do that what will that do to my loans if anything, or my GPA or whatever?
Will that hurt me if I do that more than if I bite the bullet and shell out the$ for that class?

    Any advice is much appreciated.
