Hey all. So I updated my iPhone 11 and now my alarm clock doesn't make sound when it goes off in the morning. Not fun!!
So I've looked into a backup plan that doesn't involve replacing my phone just for an alarm clock. I actually have 2 other alarm clocks, so I've been using those, but I really prefer having 3 as I work early in the morning.
Most apps have fooled me into thinking they're free , but no. Also, I liked using my iPhone clock bc if I have the volume down it still worked.
So any recommendations will be great. Pretty dumb for my phone to have this glitch. It's like the alarm goes off but no sound 🙄

Head to Goodwill and pick up an alarm clock.
Buy an alarm clock from somewhere like a thrift store. Extra bonus if it runs on batteries / has a back up power source as they will last for a long time but you will never be caught out by a power cut again.
It is also better for you to not have your phone nearby and improves sleep which is also a good thing.
I had this problem too when I updated my phone, but I did find a way to fix it. Turn off attention aware features in settings > Face ID and passcode. And double check if the volume for your ringer is up.
Have you checked your sound settings for Ringers and Alerts under the Sounds and Haptics settings?
Also go under Settings > Face ID and Attention > Attention Aware Features (turn this to OFF).
Also make sure to adjust your Focus mode settings. Do Not Disturb and Sleep Focus will turn off all alert sounds.
Go into your clock app and click on an alarm. Tap Sound and make sure it’s set to a sound and not “None.”
Restarting it may also help.
I bought the iPhone 14+ and during set up, the alarm made no noise. There were no loud alarms build in, just quiet little short sounds. I have retired and no longer need an alarm.
I just continued using my old Samsung for contacts, calendar, and alarms as the data was already entered.
I use one called sleep cycle. It monitors your sleep cycles and you give it a 30 min wake up window so you’re not jolted awake in the middle of dreaming.
I’ve chosen not to think too hard about why it’s free and just going with it. I’ve been using it for years. There’s an upgrade option but it’s not too pushy!
bro get a new phone your battery life is probably 2 minutes on a good day
