I’ve accidentally figured out how to turn trash into coffee. My home printer burns through ink, and I’ve somehow become the person for everyone’s dead batteries, so I just bring all the empties in for recycling and rack up points at Staples. Those points turn straight into free coffee, so at this point my caffeine habit is basically funded by low battery warnings and expired ink cartridges. Reduce, reuse, rehydrate.

staples gives rewards for dead batteries? Have you looked at a continuous ink printer? up front cost is a lil higher but reduces ink cost by a significant amount.

Christ I thought you were going to say you were pouring water through old batteries…

I thought this was going to be a jerk post about just reusing the same coffee grounds and pretending it tasted the same. This is way better, and turns frustrations into caffeine.

The real frugal tip is to ditch ink printers and switch to laser. Even if there’s nothing wrong with the ink printer you’ll save so much money with a laser.

kinda genius but the real win is you built a loop that offsets a recurring expense, just watch the time and effort tradeoff if it starts to creep up
