I get that no company is cheapest for everyone but is there one that's usually cheaper in most cases? I'm tired of switching every year because last time it screwed up a claim when I needed it. Just want something reliable that won't break the bank.
Anyone found a company that's consistently affordable without being sketchy? Looking for real experiences and not just i use this.
Is there something like the standard cheapest car insurance company?

There is no such thing as universally cheaper. And unfortunately just like cable internet you have to switch from time to time.
I am curious though, how would switching insurance mess up a claim?
Go online and google insurance companies. Then use their online tools to price out insurance rates for your use case.
Insurance is Monthly/six month/yearly payment for cheaper premiums. Then if you buy more insurance you get discounts Policy1+policy2= both cheaper. That’s usually it. I do think the ‘shop changing your insurance’ stuff is a scam though. unless someone can prove switching progressive/state farm/geico in a loop somehow is cheaper, cause for me, it was always more expensive to switch. until I switched away from SF. Too expensive to go back to them. Geico=most expensive. Mass. & ‘general’ unknown to me. Confirm how many miles they are computing you drive. Some people drive more, and some less, the average on policies can be more (more $) sometimes.
-no red cars, be the right age, etc.
It would be ever shifting. And be heavily dependent on a lot of factors like your state, zip code, credit score, accident history, ticket history, prior insurance history, how much you drive
No one insurance company is universally cheaper. Every policy is priced out depending on the customer, their location, their vehicle, any operators, their insurance history……so on and so forth. Every carrier has certain customers and policies and they like and don’t like. Paying in full almost always brings a good discount vs installments, but you need to shop around and see who is the best price for your particular risk at that time. One other note; a lot of carriers won’t price well for people who shop and move their business annually. They see the customer as one they aren’t interested in so they will price you out.
Progressive in FL.
Insurance companies will raise your rates if they determine that you’re unlikely to shop around year on year, so no. You’re actively punished for loyalty to a company.
Dave’s Discount Insurance Company guarantees that they will give you an insurance policy cheaper than any other Company. Dave is hard to reach sometimes as be doesn’t have a permanent office location. But do your research, find him when you need insurance and he will beat any price.
No because it is going to vary from state to state because car insurance is regulated at the state level.
So while Geico may be among the cheapest in one state, it may be among the highest in another
First, what you’re looking for doesn’t exist. If you had specified your situation, that could have made things easier. But i’d suggest you go through each site using a throw away email and check what they quote you. You can also try insurify to compare multiple options at once.
Something else, don’t just compare the rates only. You can be shortchanged in coverage and how the provider handles claims.
