My BCE card became 1 year old today, and I got an upgrade offer in email: spend $1k in 6 months and get $100 back. This seems so bad. Is there any way to get a better offer?

Pray to Amex. Nothing more you can do.
Just get the BCP as a new card if you want a good SUB.
I mean it makes the card effectively free. I’m going to down grade mine and hope for exactly this offer.

There aren’t many banks that offer anything to change cards.
$75 has been the standard offer.
$150 + 1yr no AF has been the better offer. I’ve heard that was like a once every couple years type offer. I only got this one after 4 years with the card.
Is the $100 offer the new $75 offer? I don’t know, I already upgraded this year.
I got $150/$1000 and waived fee in year 1 in my inbox.
I only take an upgrade offer if I am planning on upgrading anyway.
I also already have a 5% groceries card, so upgrading means I lose the 3% online retail category instead.
