    ADDITIONAL INFO

I have a Europe trip coming up and my only card right now is my Amex Gold. Want a non-Amex so I know I'll be able to use it everywhere, and figured it's probably a good time to add a new card anyway. Likely should avoid foreign fees given the nature. Additionally, United loyalist (rough with Amex and them not playing nicely but it is what it is). Edit: Should add I'm preapproved for the Venture X, didn't check any others.

With that income and spending pattern the Venture X makes sense especially since you’re already preapproved. No foreign fees for Europe plus the travel credits basically cover the annual fee

Your dining spend is solid so that 2x on dining will work well alongside the Gold’s 4x, and having Visa acceptance in Europe is clutch when Amex gets declined
