Our $1 million umbrella policy with SF just went from $477 last year to $1,278 this year!! We are 2 adult drivers who work from home (hardly drive, share a van, no violations) and 1 college student driver (21) at school (sedan) with no tickets/violations/good student/"steer clear" discount. We've done defensive driving courses to lower rates. Live in Atlanta. Any advice? Shop standalone policies that work with our SF auto/home liability limits? ($500K auto: $250K BI/person; $500K/accident; $100K PD. Home: $100K)
Huge spike in State Farm umbrella premium!!!???

Thank a plaintiff attorney for the increase.
100k for home? As in $100k home personal liability limit? That seems too low for eligibility.
But my best guess is this
>1 college student driver (21)
All carriers are going up. State Farm’s started jumping about a year ago. Shocked my last renewal didn’t go up. But I am sure it’s coming.
