I’m starting a new role where the company gives the option of using a corporate travel card or putting expenses on a personal credit card and getting reimbursed. Expenses will include flights, hotels, rental cars, fuel, food, tools, and other work-related costs.
Based on my experience at similar companies, monthly expenses could range from $5,000 to $20,000. Reimbursements are processed weekly, if that makes a difference.
What credit card would you recommend to maximize rewards, points, and travel perks in this situation?
Thanks in advance.

dude that’s a solid setup for churning some serious rewards. i’d probably go with the chase sapphire reserve if you can handle the annual fee – the 3x on travel and dining will add up fast with those numbers, plus the travel protections are clutch when you’re flying that much
amex platinum is another beast but depends on whether your hotels and airlines align with their transfer partners. the centurion lounges alone might be worth it if you’re stuck in airports constantly
one thing i learned from a buddy who travels for work – make sure you can float that 5-20k without stressing about cash flow even with weekly reimbursements. companies can be weird about processing sometimes and you don’t want to get stuck paying interest that eats into your rewards
also might be worth looking into business cards since these are work expenses, could help with the velocity limits if you’re putting through that much volume monthly
