On the internet, it seems like China’s rate of development is rising, similar to Japan in the 1990s. But since they are living in Japan, what made them decide to leave their home country ?

If China’s rate of development is so strong, what made they move to Japan instead of staying in China? Is it because of the culture, or because of economic development? We all know China was really poor 30–40 years ago due to various circumstances, but right now on the internet it doesn’t look like that anymore. What pushed them to leave the country?

What does modern Japan have that modern China doesn’t have nowadays? Why decide to leave at the peak timing of your society? Are all of them politically motivated, or is it impossible for them to move into the middle class in China and reap all the benefits of Chinese society like owning a home, having a car, or raising a family ? Political freedom didn't matter much if you are staving, and I rather have a house , a car, and go vacation here and there twice a year than having political freedom if you know what I meant ?

Someone told me because of the Hukou system. Chinese that born in the under-development region of China basically can't move upward in social mobility and their opportunity at such regions being limited because in such province it's basically a third-world country . And wage is basically at 1/3 of city like in Beijing or Shanghai

" They can barely afford to travel to Beijing for vacation. Some would have to save for two years just to afford a trip to Disneyland in China. "

I have a question related to migration and the economic relationship between modern China and Japan. I noticed that currently about 1 million Chinese people are living in Japan. Why do they decide to leave at the peak of their society ?
