I recently got into an animal collision. As a result a few lights appeared on the dash. Luckily the car is covered under comprehensive. After a few weeks in the shop they are trying to return my car with one of the lights still on the dash.
The shop claims that this light can't be related to the crash, and did not address/repair it. I'm worried that if they tell the same thing to insurance, that this part of the repair will not get covered. (note that complications have already brought this repair cost to be pretty high). I'm telling the truth about this light, what should I do?

what is the warning light?
They can tell when the code was initially triggered even if you reset it lmfao
Depends on the light. And if the system is showing them when the code was initially thrown. What is the light, and what is their rationale as to why it could not have been triggered by hitting an animal?
