Ok so I'm not posting for myself (something that happens when the other person isn't into internetting and stuff…) but:
My other person has a decent score and gets pre-approved invites from them (NFCU) but on credit karma it said his likelihood of being approved for one was bad?
Has been a member of them since 2023 (three years this month) so maybe that's part of why?
Or is CK just doing that to try to get him to apply for somethin else? I don't get it.

Credit Karma is paid to recommend cards and their recs are based on how much money CK earns if you use their affiliate link.
That said, preapproval mailers often are meaningless and have very little correlation with approval chances
