Gold then platinum or platinum then gold?

I want both eventually, however I want to maximize my SUB.

Credit score: 760

History: 8 years~

I know historically there were correct steps to do this, but I’m sure something changed.

Currently have the Blue cash everyday card and the delta gold Amex.

SUB eligibility goes in order of increasing fees, so Green —> Gold —> Platinum.

Look up family language. You cannot get a gold SUB if you hold a plat.

Gold then platinum. You won’t be able to get the gold SUB if you get the platinum first.
