a couple weeks ago I was dashing and I came to a house that had beware of dog signs. Of course I looked around to see any dogs but figured that this gate was where the dog will be. I then noticed signs telling me to go to the side of the house so I proceeded to do so. Once there 2 little kids had GIANT BULLDOG which I felt had pit mixed in with it. I backed away and then asked if the dog was friendly. Kids looked more worried than I was to be honest. I decided handed the kids the food and the dog jumped up and sunk its teeth into my arm. When that happened I stood my ground and slowly walked backed to my car. I should note the dog did go after my Johnson but luckily missed.
With the signs/the type of dog/the injury what should I expect? I honestly have no clue.
I believe the dog bite was level 3/4

They will investigate the claim, assuming there is one filed, if not then you need to file one. The police will often get that information, if it, then the owner should be on the report and you can request it.
I hope you had your local police document the incident. I would file a claim against the homeowner.
File a claim against the homeowner. He has to maintain care, custody and control of his animals at all times. You were invited onto this property , told where to go. There was no control. Feel better
