The 10.1 oz. bag is the same price as the 8.8 oz. bag. Similarly, the 15.5 oz. bag is the same price as the 13.8 oz. bag.

However, the real take-away here is that the price per oz. is actually lower on the smaller bag than on the larger bag.

Don't assume that the larger package is always less expensive. Paying close attention to the price per unit can lead to unexpected cost savings.

Honestly the worst part about trying to buy something at costco. They won’t use the same units of measurements for similar items so you can’t compare price per oz or lbs. I’m sure its on purpose. I still do the math myself, but also fuck the imperial measurement system.

    2. also, in the store the bags of chocolate near the register always cost more than the ones on the shelf. they know that people pick those up without looking at the price when it’s not on the shelf. it’s an impulse buy

    3. The math here ain’t mathing.

Edit: oh, I see. They’re comparing all 4. The 10oz bag is the cheapest per ounce.

The math maths, but the words didn’t word

    4. Many times for no good reason Jif in 12oz jars is a little less per oz than 28 oz jars.

      Since 28 oz goes stale, it’s a no-brainer to get 2×12.

    5. Oh the layout of this is really not working for the message. Especially because the 8.8 Oz bag not being the cheapest undercuts the message.
