Hi all, I've been reading through threads and googling information, and am feeling a little overwhelmed and a lot confused, and hoping someone can shed some light on my situation.

I graduated from grad school in 2015 and have been on an IDR plan since then. I was making very little and paying about $30/month, then my income dropped further and I have been paying $0 since about 2018. I'm also in the PSLF program since I work for a nonprofit.

I'm enrolled in automatic recertification, and repayment has stayed at $0/month. They haven't asked if my income has changed, which it has, significantly. I don't want this to come back to haunt me, but I also don't want to volunteer that my income has increased if it's not necessary. Any advice?? I should have PSLF loan forgiveness in 2032. Thank you!

In a PAYE IDR plan, paying nothing… is this right??

You can have a $0 payment on PAYE if your income is low enough.

As for PSLF, have you been doing employment verification forms?

PAYE will sunset in 2028, so you will need to switch to a IBR or RAP at that time.

As long as you haven’t missed a certification, you are fine.
