Hi! So, as title says, I am looking to buy a used car. The car I’m looking at is a 2025 trailblazer that is 23,000. It has 16k miles. I have very good credit, but my credit history is less than a year, and I’m a first time car buyer. I make 1888 a month working full time, after taxes. At a 10% interest rate, with 3500 down and a potential 2000 trade in, I am looking at a 430 car payment. I have a 2015 Chevy equinox with 95,000 miles, in fair condition. I don’t expect much. I have zero bills to be responsible for except for my credit card payment and gas. I was recommended to post this here, in an attempt to get better advice. Is this a good financial decision based on where I am in life? Does it sound like a good idea?

What’s the term length of the loan, because your interest rate is already pretty bad…

I would keep your current car if nothing is wrong with it.
