Hey everyone, I’m considering adding another credit card to my rotation and wanted to hear people’s opinions on what that should be.
Currently I have the Apple Card, Amex Blue Cash, and Discover it.
The primary ones I’ve been pre approved for and considering are the Chase Freedom Flex, Amazon Prime Visa, and Wells Fargo Active Cash.
For some life context if it helps, I’m a 19 year old college kid planning on moving out in September.

What’s ur goal of the new card? I wouldn’t add a credit card just to get one.
Of the cards listed, I guess I’d say the Active Cash since the Apple Card imperfectly covers the everything else category.
Since you named the Amazon Prime, I assume you shop there so that wouldn’t hurt either. Its welcome bonus goes up around Prime Day and Christmas.
If you like the gacha character of the Discover, the Freedom Flex is more of the same.
So I guess that means yes. 😜
I’d say out of the pre approved options I would go with the freedom flex and the amazon as a runner up.
The apple card kind of acts as a catch-all with apple pay, so you don’t need the wells fargo active cash. The amazon is pretty good since you get 5% on amazon, but if you were to get the flex and since you have the discover it, amazon should be covered between 3-6 months out of the year anyways plus the other categories throughout the year.
And plus if you get a chase card it will be helpful if you want to get other chase cards in the future in regard to the chase 5/24 rule.
I recommend Active Cash from that list. It is a good 2% catch-all card.
Freedom Flex is like Discover It, so not worth the hard credit pull for more rotating categories. Apple Card is like Active Cash but not as good. Amex Blue Cash (Everyday?) is good for specific categories, which may or may not make sense in the future.
Amazon Prime is good if you shop there, but it makes sense more as a third or fourth or fifth card.
