For some perspective on SAF from a UK-based climate scientist.
>Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) plays the same role in aviation as CCS/BECCS/DACCS play for other fossil-fuelled sectors: **more a stalling tactic than solution**. Good engineers work on SAF, but CEOs/politicians/etc deliberately mis-sell their role in mitigation.

Trump gave this to his donors, not knowing that by 2050 it’s already too late. But hey, at least the billionaires can boast about their high scores by then, as it’s game over for the game of capitalism.
Seriously, once you read the herculean effort that was undertaken with stopping acid rain, stopping hole in ozon layer, polio vaccination, etc… one only grows more disillusioned and hateful towards our current politicians and how easy it is to buy them now.
