I live in France and I want to tell the government what I own (for taxes etc. no problem I’m not against that)

    BUT

This year the government files have been often hacked A LOT and some people kidnapped crypto owners to steal them (It is a massive problem in France in 2026)

I don’t own that much, but I care more about my assets safety and of course my own safety, than laws, if laws can’t protect me.

I heard some people that tend to fear it like me.

    What are your suggestions ?

That is a frightening reminder that crypto risk is not only cyber risk. Once your identity, address, and holdings can be connected, the attack surface becomes painfully physical.

For individuals, the answer is less “be better at passwords” and more “avoid single-point compromise”: keep only limited funds in readily accessible wallets, use stronger custody structures for larger balances, separate identity from holdings where possible, and make sure no one can force one person in one room to surrender everything at once.
