I'm getting emails from Aidvantage saying I need to recertify my ibr plan. However, it still has my administrative forbearance as not ending until 2033. I had applied for the save plan in 2024 but never got approved it's just sitting in the processing phase . Customer service says my payments will restart when forbarence ends.

If I go through the certification it's saying my payments are maxed with no forgiveness at the end, even tho I've been making payments for 20 years and shoud have some forgiven after the next 5 years.

Wondering if I change to ICR instead if this will reset my payments and have my interest capitalized? It's a difference of $307 for IBR to $113 for ICR. $12k balance with half subsidized.

Should I even recertify? If I don't will it kick me totally out of IBR? Standard payment is $113. Not sure why IBR is so much higher. 🙁
