With how reactionary the price of oil has been to even rumours, being able to declare a blockade has been lifted will probably have a dramatic effect on price… even though it's a complete facade.

And just realised I spelt STRAIT wrong, my apologies.

Did Trump blockade the straight so that he has a lever to pull if/when prices start going up again?

Bold to assume this is some grand master plan.

Easter Sunday was a tell-all. The US has no strategy to open the strait.

They can blockade it, but ultimately, this is slitting our own wrists in the process.

Diesel is $6 a gallon, Iran understands the longer this goes on, the better position they will be at the negotiation table.

Iran can take a lot of pain as they understandably see this as an existential threat when you have the orange man threatening their whole civilization would die.

    2. The situation remains unclear as fuk. The reality is oil is still at $150bbl. MAGA thinks the market and futures always go up, Reddit thinks it’ll go down. Act accordingly.

At this point, I think we have enough evidence to consider that everything Tangerine Man says is potentially part of a market manipulation scheme.

130-140 ships used to pass through a day before the conflict. Even without this blockade the numbers would still be below 15. No one wants to try it, no insurers want to insure ships trying. Him “pulling a lever” and lifting a blockade would do very little to change these facts.

He has recently said he doesn’t care if prices rise, he really doesn’t care about anyone but himself, everyone needs to realize that if they don’t already.

    6. Trump wants to put financial pressure on Iran. The previous situation was that US and allied nations could not freely use the straight while Iran and allied nations could. That both made the US look weak and was punishing allies while benefiting strategic rivals. This blockade is just forcing the pain back on Iran that it has been applying to the other GCC countries. The US has resources available for this action now that they’re not running active offensive operations in theatre.

    7. Why are there so many posts in this sub of people assuming this administration knows what they’re doing?

In case you are unaware. Remember when trump pardoned CZ from binance? Well guess who opened a 100x oil etf a couple days before the big drop on ceasefire news? Its been raining red candles ever since.

Idk… I wonder if the ‘blockade’ is really a ‘supervision’ of the strait. After a ‘peaceful couple of weeks’, Trump declares he won the war and exits the strait. I can’t see China not being allowed to get oil from Iran…
