I was hit by another driver who had Progressive insurance. I had to have a revision surgery that Tricare paid for. All surgery is complete and payment has been rendered. I have no outstanding claims.
We have reached an agreed settlement and submitted to Tricare for final lien amount. Tricare adjuster is saying that due to subrogation rights and since the providers have a year to submit payment requests, she can’t give a lien amount for a year. A year?!!
Can this be withheld for that long? Is there anything we can do with like a conditional lien or get paid out sooner?
It just feels insane that Tricare can hold up a settlement for that long!
