Hi everyone, I have a little over 20K in student loan debt through nelnet and I keep seeing videos about how I could potentially get my debt completely forgiven because of the confusion and class actions happening. I'm going to be real, I have no idea how to start that process or if it's even real. Student loans are super confusing for me. I was on the SAVE act when it first came out, but switched to an income-based repayment plan last year or the year before when I received an email stating the SAVE act was ending and people needed to switch. I do qualify for the public service forgiveness program and will be applying for it, but if I can get them taken care of because nelnet has been negligent in some way, I'd like to do that. Any advice or any resources that prove/disprove the claims I'm seeing would be helpful. Thank you!
I'm not super active on reddit, but I'll do my best to keep up with the replies.
