What the heck? We buy the organic blueberries at Costco every trip as my husband eats probably 3-4 containers a week (yes, I know it’s excessive) and every trip they’ve went up a $1. It is now $12 for a container! they were $8 a few weeks ago! They say they’re from the US, too! Anyone know what’s happening with this?!

A carton of blueberries by me (NJ- north) is like 2.99 and has been pretty static. Granted NJ producers a lot of blueberries
Climate change, gas prices, and inflation, the trifecta
In Buffalo NY a pint of blueberries was $2.99 and now is $4.99 last time I checked
I mean organic blueberries and fruit in general is expensive. Organic blueberries have an almost 100% mark up and you’re paying that for a fruit that is already around 95% under the legal limit for pesticide residue. Also organic isn’t always pesticide free even though people assume they are. So honestly it’s kind of pointless as long as you just wash the blueberries.
