Pretty much what it says above. I am not at fault, and the other party already admitted full responsibility to the police and in the report.

    Complete amateur move on my part, but I did get pictures of IDs and insurance information.

    Am I screwed in any form or fashion?

      You should be fine. Note that the police report will not force a fault determination for insurance. Nor is the other driver saying “this is all my fault” a legal gotcha. Not saying you’re at fault, but those things aren’t binding. Insurance will investigate. Get statements from both drivers. Look at the damage. Take any dashcam footage and things like that. And then they’ll decide on fault.

      But no….getting pictures of your car before the tow would have been good. It won’t tank your claim to not have those pics, though.

    2. Make sure you get your vehicle released to insurance ASAP so it can get moved to a shop (if repairable) or their auction yard (if a total). It is your duty per your policy to mitigate your damages (also the case if you’re going through the other party), so don’t let it sit for more than a day or two.
