I will be staying in a hotel every other week, Sun-Fri, indefinitely for work. I will be paying out of my own pocket. About $90 per night so somewhere around $1k per month. A local Courtyard Marriott will likely be my hotel of choice, although I will shop prices as needed. I want a CC that will give me the most value. All I am interested in is saving money for these hotel stays. Not wanting to use points for anything other than the hotel.

What CC would be best for my situation?

    CC for frequent hotel stays

Wells Fargo Autograph Journey is the best hotel card right now. Unlimited 5x Wells Fargo Rewards points on hotels, which can be transferred 1:2 to Choice or Wyndham.

    2. Don’t really see a huge reason not to get a hotel branded card from your preferred chain. I personally like Choice, but Marriott’s would be good too.

Marriott Bold or Boundless if you’re locked into Marriott hotels. Could eventually upgrade to Ritz Carlton.

The Marriott Business Amex gives you access to the “business card rate” which is a 7% discount on the standard rate. I use it often and it definitely saves money, especially if you’re going to be racking up the nights.

Very unlikely to find a Courtyard Marriott for only $90/night. That being said, I’d go for the Marriott Brilliant if that’s your preferred chain.
