Hi. I’m looking at the Bilt Palladium, but I believe I would certainly benefit from the expertise provided by those in this group. Does that card make sense? I’m currently putting all spending on Robinhood Gold, and I have recently closed a series of cards – Amex Gold, Chase Sapphire Preferred, etc.

    • Current cards: (list cards, limits, opening date)

    (Personal cards only)

    Robinhood Gold – $10k limit

    United Club – $20k

    Amazon Prime – $45k

    Freedom Unlimited – $18500

    Hilton Aspire – $60k

    Marriott Brilliant – $35k

    Amex Green – NA

    Rakuten – $12k

    OneKey+ – $21k

    Citi Double Cash – $46100

    SavorOne – $5k

    Fidelity – $25k

    • FICO Score: 830

    • Oldest account age: 13 years

    • Chase 5/24 status: 5/24

    • Income: $300k (salary only)

    • Average monthly spend and categories:

    • dining: $1200

    • groceries: $300

    • gas: $100

    • travel: $800

    • other: $1500 (plus housing is $2164)

    • Open to Business Cards: N/A

    • What's the purpose of your next card? Rewards

    • Do you have any cards you've been looking at? Bilt Palladium. I’m am currently pre approved for $15k limit

    • Are you OK with category spending or do you want a general spending card? Probably general spending.

    Any thoughts here? Ok

Should I get the Bilt Palladium or roll with what I have?

dude you already have like 10+ cards and putting everything in robinhood gold… why add another one when you’re not even optimizing what you got 😂

with that dining spend you should be using sapphire or gold but you closed them for some reason, now you want bilt just because you got preapproved? feels like you’re collecting cards instead of actually maximizing rewards

    2. I have the palladium and it’s a points earning monster plus you’re earning the most valuable points there are. If you activate the accelerator that’s 25k of spend at 3x. I will say their CS is trash but getting a little better but if you have a problem it will probably be frustrating to resolve

Honestly you have cards that will handle your spend well. What I would do is throw your cards at Gemini or ChatGPT and ask how to optimize your spend with what you have.

Your goal before any new cards are to build out a core setup (daily cards that take most of your spend) and bench cards (benefits cards either for perks or credit history) with what you have.
