BF wants to invest $50k into BPTRX

Please point me into the right direction if I’m in the wrong place.

My bf owns a manufacturing company that does really well and he’s planning on selling the business in the next 5 years. He’s been upset the last couple years because he wishes he would’ve invested more outside of the business. With the properties included, the company is valued at around $65M on the low end. He also has investments, but the bulk of his future is in this business.

He’s been telling me to look into this company because multiple people have been telling him it’s the next big thing. He keeps going on and on about SpaceX and Starlink. While he can afford to make this decision, I don’t think it’s a good idea. I believe he’s just experiencing FOMO and ultimately doesn’t know what he’s talking about, but I could be wrong as well. I personally don’t feel confident in the trajectory of Elon’s businesses, but again what do I really know? It’s gotten to the point where he’s now telling me I should invest as well, although he is very serious this time. He has brought this up in the past, but it is all coming to a head because another person talked to him about th is and he wants in.

So here I am, doing my research. Can someone who is more knowledgeable explain to me if this is a good decision? Also what research should I show him that’ll make him confident in his decision or think about it a little further? I’m not trying to sway him either way, I just want him to be knowledgeable about the choices he’s making.

And yes, he can make his own decisions, but he’s a simple man who his stuck in his ways. I just want to help him and understand more for myself. TIA.
