My husband and I were in a car accident about a month ago that resulted in my husband’s car getting totaled. My husband had the green light to turn when a driver ran the red light and hit us head on. There’s dash cam video from a witness. The other driver was arrested for DUI at the scene too. My husband doesn’t have any pains but I’m having a lot of back and neck pain. I do have herniated disks in my back from a prior auto accident but I’m in more pain than I was before this recent accident. I was finally able to get a mri and am waiting for the results to see if there’s anymore damage to my back or neck. I’ve been considering getting a lawyer but am unsure what to do. Im only really leaning towards it because im struggling to work, which I might even have to step down or even go to part time because of the pain. Which getting a desk job isn’t even an option either because sitting hurts wayyyyyy more! Does anyone know if a law firm would pick up this case?

Yea they will but you don’t need a lawyer.
Any law firm would take this case. But an attorney is going to take 1/3 of your settlement. You can negotiate with insurance yourself. It sounds like you have a soft tissue injury with aggravations of pre-existing conditions. I wouldn’t give an attorney money for this case before at least trying to work with insurance yourself
I highly recommend an attorney. You want to have someone who is knowledgeable and is working up the case to maximize and recover the most compensation while you are focused on healing and recovering. Yes you could negotiate it yourself and not give a %, but it might be more money in your pocket by giving it to an attorney who gets a higher number and therefore puts more money in your pocket, albeit a smaller % of the cut.
