Probably the most frequently mentioned problem in business.

    Good ideas, no resources.

We have a few stories how a guy cleaned toilets and then becomes a billionaire.

Tens of millions failed, but one did it.

    Why that successful guy won?

He is smarter, worked harder, or it's just a random event?

I’m building Place – a web project where parts of a website can be owned and controlled by users.

Right now, the focus is on banners: users can claim space, customize it, lease it, or trade it with others.

The twist is that everything runs on an internal credit system – no real money involved. Credits are earned through games and tournaments inside the platform.

The idea is to create a kind of “digital territory” – a space you actually own, where you can promote something, experiment, or just have fun.

Where I’m stuck is the value:

Is this actually useful, or just a gimmick?

Would people care about owning digital space if there’s no real money involved?

And if something like this does work – what makes it work? Distribution, competition, scarcity, something else?

How to fly high with no wings?
