The driver is insured with progressive however I am uninsured. My claims adjuster I’ve been communicating with has already made it clear that the woman at fault’s policy only has so much coverage and that this will be a “lengthy process” (60-90 days) for payouts. The driver who she directly hit pulled off from the scene, the woman he hit who crashed into me has a completely totaled car and also had to get her appendix removed a week after the accident. Assuming she’d get the highest payout, of course. They sent me $1800 via electronic email about 3 weeks ago just for inconvenience and pain, am I claims adjuster came up with a number around 9000 total when we first ever spoke before she knew I was uninsured . Do you guys still think I will get paid out something even if it’s under 3K? My car is still drivable, but she told me they were most likely gonna total it out because my trunk is completely smashed in and ruined from the accident. Even though this will be a waiting game, I’ll still get something right? Also, to make matters worse the attorney who was representing me and paying for my chiropractic services can’t represent me anymore because I’m not on the police report. I stayed at the scene as long as I could, the driver who hit me called for us, but unfortunately, I had to leave because I was uninsured and had expired tags as well. I knew when the police arrived they were just going to tow my car and I really couldn’t afford that at the time. I stayed, I got videos, I got pictures. The fault driver was completely intoxicated and so were her passengers, but after collecting all the information I did, I left scene. The woman behind me also told me that she made police aware that there was another driver there (me) who had to “leave the scene to go to work” . I’ve already spoken with the police department. They can’t add me to the report. So with this being said realistically, will I still get some type of a payout?

So I was in a four car domino effect accident caused by a drunk driver

Not having you on the PR is definitely an issue, but is your car on there as part of the pileup, or are you saying you left the scene with your car? Did you give your info to the other drivers? If they’ve already paid you $1800 then you might have already settled…. Did you sign a release?
