This question might seem fairly stright forward to most of you, and if so, I apologize.
I've been accumulating wealth via stocks for most of my life. I'm 50 now and want to try to retire around 57. The thing is, my income is quite high and puts me in that 37% bracket. Additionally, I'm in tech and the last few years have been bananas for my RSUs. I know, I know. This is a good problem to have. But taxes have really complicated things for me now.
I'm wondering how to unwind big investments in growth stocks and shift my portfolio into dividend income so I can live off of it?
Can anyone point me toward an obvious strategy for this? Or even some resources or advice.
How do I shift from growth to income without getting murdered by uncle sam
