Either Trump is a pathological liar or his handlers, Jared and Whitkoff, are managing him and the flow of info to him. We just witnessed a small taste of that disconnect. Someone makes a big bet on the oil markets, Trump declares peace with himself and forgets to remove the blockade and then Iran retaliates against shippers who believed Trump.
Right now the USS Ford CSG and USS Reagan CSG are converging to rendezvous with the USS Lincoln CSG. Their goal is simple, to continue the strikes against Iran. Iran is not oblivious to this gathering storm. They are rearming and preparing to counter value strike GCC energy production hubs.
Now here's the trick. Imagine you are an insider trader in the White House. How can you maximize your gain? That's correct a wide sentiment swing. You need to condition the market to believe peace is at hand, then place your bets and boom a bolt out of nowhere strike against Iran.
Timing a rigged market is tough. But if we anticipate significant production scarring, that's not something that can reversed by commodities market manipulation.

Good thing the US switched to renewables
I don’t doubt both sides are preparing for Round 2. But I think neither wants to be the first to pull the trigger. Iran certainly won’t, so it falls to the USA (or Israel) to trigger this, and it’d have to come sooner rather than later, otherwise they will miss the most opportune window. I take it weapons (defensive ones at least) are en route from China and maybe even Russia this very moment.

Everyone can tell the market is manipulated. Its at the point now where people are verbally saying they can’t believe its still going up. Not out of being impressed but out of concern. Something feels wrong. And it wont be long before everyone runs from it and we will see a crash like never before. Not only that, but all trust is gone forever. You will never see another investor in the us stock market again.

Sounds more like incompetence and not being able to shut his mouth than market manipulation. Now the strait is closed after a gunboat incident as well.. but there is an interesting story developing:
Of the ships that made it through the strait some are sanctioned ships. Two of them – Aquamarine and Raine are hugging the coast of Iran going east going east and they list their destination as China. Looks like they are going to try and run the American blockade. The other sanctioned ones went to oman. The other non sanctioned ones are going along the Oman coast, im guessing going out away from the Iranian coast to get to the indian ocean.
The two sanctioned ships are the interesting ones what will the US do to them? They seem to be following the path of the Iranian vessel Delnavaz which is still heading east in the gulf of oman along the Iranian coast.

Both have been on unusually long deployments (*Ford* was involved in the Venezuela raid in January, *Lincoln* hasn’t docked since Guam in mid December)*. To my knowledge, the *Reagan* is undergoing maintenance, and hasn’t left Bremerton.
Most plausible rotation is the *Bush* joins the *Lincoln*, and the *Lincoln* and *Ford* are relieved when either the *Vinson* or *Roosevelt* (from San Diego) arrive. They’ve yet to depart and its minimum 23 days transit. Very difficult to keep more than 2 of 11 CSGs forward deployed, with 4 are undergoing major maintenance.
