Quick question about my Amex payment situation:

My minimum payment was $100 due on April 20

I manually paid $700+ on April 17 (before the due date)

After that, my account shows “Minimum payment due: $0”

I had autopay set for the minimum, but I canceled it on April 17 after making the payment.

Now I’m wondering will Amex still try to charge the minimum payment again on April 20, or am I fully covered since I already paid more than the minimum?

Just want to make sure I don’t get double charged.

    Thanks in advance!

i don’t use amex but with my cap1 cards if i pay before the payment due date, then im not charged again when the payment due date hits so they should work the same way

You didn’t need to cancel the autopay. If it’s set for minimum payment, and it shows 0, then nothing will be debited.

    3. >I had autopay set for the minimum,

As your question has already been answered, why is autopay for minimum? If there’s no active 0% promo, it should always be for statement balance.
