I haven't been working, just placing trades while I play video games at home, everything was going well until this happened.

The whole family has been shitting on me, saying I could have went to work and made money. 7 months of my life gambling I get to keep around $400 and learn an important lesson. I would have rather have this happened now then later when I have $100,000 or more to blow, because seeing some of your guys post makes me wish I didn't have $100,000, I don't trust myself to have that kind of money 7 months ago.

I learned don't expect gambling to make your living, and that I'm not as lucky as I thought I was. that's it. and it took 7 months to find that out. And I was really thinking about going all in with the last $25,000 I have and also started out with to hopefully make everything back. but if I would have done that on Friday I would have lost all the money, I was just too exhausted to trade anymore and slept in.

the crazy thing is just 1 good trade and I can double the money and be back to where I was, but also I can lose the whole thing and that would haunt me for the rest of my life. I would watch the markets every single day, I don't feel good about myself and I don't know why I should.

Should I be haunted for life by 7 months of no income because I decided to be a WSB gambler?

    1. sorry to hear, my heart goes out to you, but as the old wsb saying goes, no crying in the casino

You should maybe consider that you have a gambling addiction, or at least tend towards it. There is help you can seek for it.

So don’t do it. Get a job, save on side, keep your 25k you started with.

If you think about this or WANT to start or try again, make an extra 1k or 2k on side, 1 day xfer it. Wait for something you see or pops out to you and try that.

You’re already more self-aware than most regards here. I’ve been here since before the regards phase of Reddit

So start over. Most lose way worse that this before mentioning any of this, if they ever do man.

You got this just take it 1 day at a time in the right direction, not get greedy and go in the wrong 1.

This reminds me when I told my girlfriend I made 2K because etherium was up. Long story short get a real job and just buy VOO, you’ll end up rich, don’t make it complicated.

bruh you literally answered your own question in the post – you already know gambling isn’t sustainable income and your family is right about getting a real job

that $400 left is your tuition fee for learning this lesson, could’ve been way worse. take whatever work you can get and stop looking at charts, the market will still be there when you have actual disposable income to lose

    6. There are no foolproof shortcuts. If there were, everyone would be doing it and it would just be the standard.

Gamble a little, not with everything.

    7. Get a job and stop looking at the charts. Touch grass and you’ll start living.

Then be like me and dump a bunch of money into your account and be down 105k on options.

      Don’t gamble. It’s not a good feeling

    8. Sounds a whole lot to me like crying in the casino. Pick up some extra shifts at Wendy’s.

Some dude on X went from $1000 – 300,000 – 0 in the last few months. Could be much worse 😂

    10. This guy thought he was special…LOL. You’re just another degenerate gambler like everyone else. I will add, however, that working a job is guaranteed money. You won’t make a consistent, sustainable living from trading with the kind of mindset you have.

don’t you dare start investing on that VOO shit for retirement, keep gambling until you hit it. good luck regard lol

    12. Even if you cashed out at your peak, you would’ve only made $20k. That’s barely even replacing a Wendy’s job. Just go get a job

nah man thats just your journey. some people back pack europe or hike the at. you do you.

Lesson: only trade options with money you are willing to completely lose. We all learn that lesson eventually.

    15. Do it.
If you get lucky, you break-even or do better.
If you don’t, we get entertainment.
      It’s a win-win for everyone.

Why dont you just buy stocks on big red days and then sell when it goes up 6-10%

    17. The fact that you didn’t go negative after 6 months of the worst trading conditions I’ve ever experienced is something.

    18. You’ve been trading that long and you still haven’t lost yet. I think you are pretty talented.
