US Multinationals: Investopedia notes that a weaker dollar makes US exports cheaper abroad and increases the value of international revenue when converted back to USD, potentially boosting corporate earnings.
Israeli Tech Stocks: Many firms listed on Nasdaq have USD revenues but Shekel-based costs (salaries). A strong Shekel squeezes their profit margins, hurting their stock prices.
Institutional Selling: When the S&P 500 rises, Israeli pension funds often sell dollars to hedge their portfolios, creating further downward pressure on the USD/ILS rate.
Ferengi Rule of Acquisition 34: War is good for business.

So many morons out there. It’s very bad news for Israel because their exports will drop significantly. The last time this happened to Israel were in a recession. This is why China keeps their money artificially low against the US dollar. Reading these comments, you see how little most people understand economics. Probably why most people have 30 bucks to their name.

Well looking at that it makes me glad that most of my investments are in Sheckels.
