So I’ve got a IBIT put for a $30 strike price expiring May 15. I think there’s a chance we can see lower prices but I don’t think it can get there by my expiration. Can anyone tell me if they think that it’s all right if I print off my bid puts and change the expiration date to a later date, and then send it back to my broker? Will this work? I’d like my expiration to be September or something around there.
Changing my expiration date on my IBIT puts.

You can always roll it but it trades .08 right now
You don’t change the date of an existing option. You close it and open a new one with the new target date. Doing both at the same time is called rolling.
The expiration date is a property of the thing you bought. You can sell it and buy a new one, and as a friendly suggestion, buy an expiration long past when you expect the price move to take place
