I have been using Claude Design and Google Stitch the past couple days and holy shit is Figma absolutely cooked. I genuinely think Figma will be bankrupt in the next couple years, Claude Design and Google Stitch are absolutely better products and are faster and easier to use than Figma. Investing in Figma today is like investing in Blockbuster when Netflix released. All this fear about SAAS getting destroyed is pretty overblown but for Figma they are absolutely gone like this company will not be here in 5 years with the amount of better competition they have now, if your a software engineer you know this already. Also a lot of people are acting like companies wont switch meanwhile the vast majority of the best companies are all using Claude Code, the switch to Claude Design will absolutely be the easiest software switch for top companies across the world. Figma has zero moat and has no price leverage, the fact they are losing hundreds of millions of dollars is pretty concerning seeing how if they increase prices companies will just switch over to Claude design which most companies are already using Claude and wont have trouble switching to Claude design and the companies who already have google workspace contracts will switch to Google Stitch.
It's also not a great sign when the companies founders, CEO and executives and private investors are all selling off their shares as fast as humanely possible. Most Figma employees are selling as fast as possible and most probably sell the second their shares vest. They all know what retail investors don't and just guess what it is.
Just try Google Stitch and Claude Design before you defend Figma and see what I am talking about.
In 10 years people will talk about Figma the same way people talk about Chegg and Blockbuster.
Any Figma investors use Claude design or Google stitch yet?

Buddy, Figma was dead when the Adobe deal feel through.
To put it to perspective as an engineer, designers are getting put out of jobs because engineers are increasingly getting forced to create the design docs to combine with the specs given by the PM since big tech companies realized it’s way more efficient and cost effective to have an engineer own the feature end to end including the design spec and code. So while Claude is making figma more irrelevant, it was already happening with the reduction of designer roles and in house design tools meant to cater for engineers to help speed their code output
I wont believe any of these currently profitable companies like figma and adobe will be in any danger of ai design tools until those LLMs solve the money problem that all of them are struggling with. Figma has the much easier job of integrating AI into their already profitable business than Claude figuring out how to make money off a tool that people are used to being free and reliable.
You seem to be confusing a tool with the whole process of design. Figma will be relevant for quite some time because teams need to communicate design decisions, create design artifacts, create design libraries, do design sprints, get stakeholder buy in, etc.
Ai helps speed up some parts and bring in new ideas, but in some ways designers need to evaluate what is produced against what research shows and if what is produced is consistent with their current design system. The experience of most designers is that AI brings in more ideas to be evaluated but doesn’t save much time in the total process.
The real problem is that each AI iteration of a design costs money, and it doesn’t produce things the way you want. It ends up being expensive to use AI this way especially when you aren’t having efficiency gains in the total process. You may actually be slowing down in many cases.
