My xs went so bad the last year. It couldnt take a photo whitout me having to delete a lot before I could do anything on it. I deleted double photos, videos, everything i didn’t need. Also from the deleted folder. Then it would be ok for a little while.

Battery health at 75%. I charged many times a day.

Deleted spotify then reinstalled. It cleaned some cache. The phone worked out great. Found out that cachecleaning could maybe solve it. Had already ordered the 15, as it came on sales.

My plan was to go abroad to stay there 5 weeks, and the tought of being there with the xs stressed me. Bringing the charger with me everywhere, what if it went slow again, because I would have to use the phone a lot on the trip.

It stressed me out so I just took the 15 to stress down.

But if it wasnt for the trip, I would still have the xs.

Got the 256gb, my xs is 64.

To choose what phone also took a long long time. Never had a pro, but they are almost double the price. Even the 13pro is the price as of the 15.

This sound maybe ridiciolous, but I took the 15 because ut was new enough. Taking the 13 or 14 would feel like buying new xs, just different exterior.

And I was tired of being the one with the oldest phone every time.

I asked myself why I should take the pro. Its just the camera, the extra zoom. And just the fact that I never had the pro.

I saw it as stupied excuses, so I took 15 base.

I realized I could have asked my sister to take her old 11pro max with 512gb. The battery health is better than my xs. She crushed the screen, but it will be easy to fix and not expensive. I would get a phone with 512gb, so no worries about it going slow. For free. So why didn’t I think of that? It made the 15 fee even more like a waste of money. Even bought discounted. I like my 15 and I love to just use it during the day, even 2 days without charing it. It is faster and has a nicer screen.

I really want the 17pro, it has soo good camera. But the price is crazy. And the white color of the 17 looks so nice, but it is almost the same as 15 anyways.

    What do you think?

I bought iphone 15 this year, after having iphone xs since 2019, sometimes feels like waste

Having S24+ for 2 years. I am pretty confident saying I prefer Samsung over Iphone as the one who had Iphone previously. I can suggest you to do so.

    2. battery swap on XS can be done super cheap (cost me $35)

i also use icloud to back up photos in case i drop my phone, so it offloads storage which made the 64gb effectively unlimited.

my XS screen finally failed last year (right side became unresponsive) so i got a 16. if not i’d probably still be using it. for day to day use i don’t really feel that much of a difference between the two. XS was an amazing phone.

First world problems.  Buyer’s remorse.  Caveat emptor.  Honestly a phone is something you really do need in this day and age.  And getting one that works reliably is vital.  Without knowing what you spent, it’s hard to say whether you made the best choice. After you return, you could try selling it on eBay and getting the one you think you really want or need.  Personally I don’t support the apple ecosystem. Android phones are great, reliable, and cheap.  But that’s important to me.

I’ll give you guys another method. My 13 was getting old with a bad battery life. So I kept checking marketplace for a 16 when the 17 came out. Found one for $600 CAD then sold my 13 for $300 the next day. Now I’ll wait 2 years and repeat the process.
