**Am I cooked? If yes, how cooked am I?**
A few years back, I went TDY and tacked on a few days of leave with the blessing of my chain of command. I created my DTS voucher and made sure the leave days were zero’d out so I wouldn’t get paid. My unit’s program manger (who oversees DTS and leave) told me I didn’t need to submit a leaveweb request because DTS would take care of it. I returned from the trip, submitted my voucher, and carried on. Voucher got stamped with no issues.
Fast forward to now, I’m getting ready to separate here in a few days and it popped in my head out of nowhere… “no, that can’t be right — why would DTS talk to leaveweb?”
I had plenty of leave at the time, so it’s not that I was trying to get away with something. in fact, I’ve lost leave every FY before and after that TDY.
Is this going to be flagged in my final audit? If yes, what potentially could happen? Debt? Legal issues for being AWOL? Or Could they potentially factor in the leave I lost that year and just call it good?
I feel like such an idiot.
