Im 21 and im about to start my 2nd year in my plumbing apprenticeship. While plumbing will be a reliable career in the future for me, I can't help but feel like I should strive for bigger better things. I feel investing is a good place to start, so where do I learn, and when is it a good time for me to start?
Where do I start to learn about investing, and when is it a good time?

Start with the sub resources linked at the top. “The best time was yesterday” as they say
GOOD call to start investing at a very young age (and good trade to be in ). Take advantage of any 401k plan your employer may offer and dump as much as you can into it regularly. Time is more important than the return you may get in general. Investing regularly from age 21 to 60 as an example gets you FAR better results than waiting until age 35, but investing a lot more each year from 35. Read everything you can, follow the business channels on tv once in a while, and check out investing podcasts (NOT ones that trade in and out……that’s just gambling).
The best time to start was yesterday, the second best is today!
All jokes aside, I really like The Money Guys (The Money Guy Show) on YouTube. They’re certified financial planners, and give very principled investing advice.
The best time was yesterday. The next best time is today.
You’re young, you’re new in a career, and you have the benefit of time on your side. The decisions you make in this decade will have a big impact your retirement plan.
This sub has a lot of resources. I also watch the Money Guys on YouTube – they have a lot of structured advice and guidance based on your age.
DCA now!
savings = investing.
as soon as possible, much as you can, at a regular pace.
Last year would have been the best time. Today is the day. Read lots, talk to older friends and family.
