I'm in college in the US. We have to park in this overflow lot cause out campus shares a parking lot. I pulled into a space and went to get out of my car. I opened my door and my door touched the car next to mines mirror, like I knew I didn't have a lot of space so it wasn't hard at all. I looked over, readjusted, and exited my vehicle before moving to get my backpack out. Apparently there was someone sitting in the other car, the windows were super darkly tinted so I hadn't seen her. She gets out and walks around and just says "did you scratch it?". I said what and she goes to examining her car and says "you hit my car, it woke me up and you scratched it" and she points to a dent on her car door nowhere near where I could have even done it. I responded "I didn't touch your car" and she goes "yes you did, you woke me up and I don't even want to argue, just say sorry cause you scratched it." I just said "I didn't touch your car" and walked away while she was still muttering to herself. There' no cameras in the lot and I genuinely didn't scratch her car so there's nothing she can do, right?
Someone is claiming I scratched their car but I didn't

I mean….you did hit her car though…..right? Your story starts off with an admission you parked really close. And you initially admit that when you opened your door, you hit her mirror. So you did hit her car, despite you repeatedly denying it to the other driver. I mean….it was enough to supposedly wake her up…..right?
What can she do? She can file an insurance claim. If she has any dashcam footage, that could convince the insurance carriers that you did in fact damage her car.
You stated to touch the car‘s mirror. Stop messing around. That’s admission right there.
You said you didnt touch her car but you openly admitted to hitting your door on her mirror…if theres a scratch on the mirror, you scratched her car
Have you tried not hitting people’s cars and then lie about it?
Why didn’t you demonstrate to her that your open door could not have caused a dent in the area she point out?
