Hi. I am a US citizen and i need to take a loan of around $35k. My dad is not a US citizen or resident, however he owns multiple homes in the US and has proveable income source and he has a credit score. Most private lenders do not let someone without an SSN become a cosigner however this is my only option. I would be very happy if anyone could give me advice. Thanks

If your dad has money, ask him to pay that 35k. Seem like a chump change for him if he owned multiple properties in the US.
Advice about what? Your father is not a suitable co-signer, but you said there are no other options. Your only options are finding someone who can actually co-sign or not getting the loan.
I’m assuming you’ve maxed out your eligible federal aid already if you are seeking a private loan. Otherwise, my advice would be don’t get a private student loan.
