I’ve been in crypto for a while now, mostly trading but also holding some positions. One thing I still go back and forth on is how to handle bigger moves once I’m already in profit.

Sometimes I just hold and let it run, thinking the higher timeframe move isn’t done yet. Other times I take partials early because I’ve seen how fast things can reverse in this market.

The problem is both approaches feel right at different times. I’ve held too long and watched profits fade, but I’ve also taken profits early and then watched price keep running without me.

So I’m trying to find a more consistent way to manage this instead of deciding in the moment.

For those who’ve been around a bit, do you usually scale out as price moves, or just hold based on your higher timeframe bias? And how do you decide when to actually take something off the table?

Do you guys actually hold through big swings, or trim positions?
