Oil started creeping up after Trump’s tweet 12 min ago “Iran has Violated the Cease Fire numerous times!”
I’ve been reading these posts for days and the regular commenters that I’ve seen in other posts seem to know what they’re talking about.
My question is: what the hell is going on? Why is the price only going down?
I’m in Australia and the prices are going down at the pump. Our last full, normal quantity, group of ships come in this week and after that it will be less and less. Our PM has brokered some deals that pretty much just promise to match pre-war levels sans what comes through the Strait.
Will it go up next week once the constraint starts hitting? The news and markets seem detached from the reality of $150-200/barrel purchases made by refineries. Why is this not reflected in the pump price? Don’t they need to take the money from this week to buy the supply next week? Are a bunch of fuel distributors about to go red for a while?
