I’ve been thinking about this more lately as I start adding different types of positions. Right now everything sits in one account, but I’m starting to wonder if that’s actually a bad idea.

Part of me feels like mixing long term investing with shorter term trades could mess with decision making over time. Like seeing short term moves might affect how I treat long term positions.

At the same time, splitting things across multiple platforms feels messy and harder to track overall performance. Not sure if this is something people worry about or if I’m overthinking it. How do you approach it?

Do you keep long term investing and short term trades separate or in one account?
