Chase Recon Success Marriott Bold

Applied for the Chase Marriott bold alongside two other cards a few weeks when I was at 4/24 (the other two cards put me at 6/24 after approval). Unfortunately was hit with a 7-10 day review and an eventual 2/30 denial. I hadn’t realized cli requests factored into 2/30 so that was a miscalculation. Anyway, my original cli request fell off 2/30 a couple days ago so I called chase recon to see if I could get a manual approval without a new inquiry (especially since I’m officially above 5/24 now).

First call I was told that they couldn’t guarantee no inquiry when they submitted the application.

Second call pretty much the same.

Third call I got the first person again who sounded annoyed and told me anyone would tell me the same thing lol.

Fourth call I got a nice guy who was very excited for me. Asked me why I wanted the card, who I bank with, etc. Approved me on the spot.

The card’s mid but I want to PC to Ritz next year since I haven’t decided if I’ll keep the reserve.
