I am planning to apply for the custom cash card soon. I have a barclays aviator card which is gonna convert to the citi aa plat in a few days. Would this change affect my chances of getting approved for the custom cash in the near future?
I am currently at 0/3, 1/6, 2/12, 4/24. My only relationship with citi is that I did have a citi aa plat for one year, which i closed in early 2025.
Should I apply for the custom cash right away or wait to get closer to 0/6?

Wait until you’re closer to 0/6 since citi can be picky with recent inquiries and you already have that conversion happening soon.
